Job Description: Industrial Engineering Intern

This internship offers a chance to work on targeted projects, individually or in small teams, within a large organization. Interns will engage in operational observations, data collection, cross-functional communication, and problem-solving. All projects require a final presentation to the Industrial Engineering staff.

Responsibilities and Duties: Projects may include but are not limited to:

Work measurement in Master Standard Data (MSD): This involves analyzing and optimizing work processes.
Cost-benefit analysis: Evaluating the financial implications of various project options.
Process improvement analysis: Identifying areas for efficiency gains and implementing improvements.
Operational planning: Contributing to the strategic planning and execution of operational tasks.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Knowledge of Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis.
• Strong research and communication skills.
• Enthusiasm, creativity, and a dedication to achieving results.
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively interact and communicate across different business units.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen, National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
• Employer will not sponsor a visa.
• Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the internship or willing to relocate.
• Must be a current student enrolled in a degreed college/university program or a recent graduate (within the past 24 months).
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Compensation (for Non-Union Intern/Co-Op Positions):

Pay Range Estimate: $15.40 – $29.60 per hour (Note: Actual compensation may vary based on location and education. Finalized at the offer stage.)
401(k) retirement program: Eligible after 90 days of employment.
Personal time, Paid Sick and Family and Medical Leave: As required by law.
Discounted Employee Stock Purchase Program: Eligible after 6 months of employment.
