Job Description:
This is a paid summer internship opportunity starting on May 27th and concluding on August 1st. Qualified interns are eligible for Lowe’s housing benefits.
Role of Industrial Design at Lowe’s:
The Industrial Design team focuses on creating solutions that align with the branding and design strategies of Lowe’s Private Brands. They aim to meet merchandising and business requirements while offering differentiated products compared to competitive national brands.
This Year’s Internship Project:
The internship project involves investigating and presenting a solution for the Garage & Tool Storage category. The focus is on storing Outdoor Power Equipment, Lawn & Garden products, and standard garage tool storage applications. Interns will also assist the Design Team with current workload assignments.

• Understand product life cycles, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Understand design and development methodologies in Big Box retail
• Work across development groups
Required Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s of science in industrial design or related fields from an accredited university with expected graduation dates of December 2025 or May 2026
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
• Proficient in MS Office Programs (specifically Word, Excel, and Power Point), and Adobe CS
• Strong collaborative, innovative, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Portfolio required with application
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience or pre-existing knowledge of CAD
• Qualitative and quantitative research skills
• Relevant internship and experience
• Experience in a leadership position at work or within a campus organization
