Income Tax Analyst | DXP Enterprises, Inc.
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at DXP Enterprises, Inc., located in an office environment. DXP is dedicated to being the best solution for industrial customers by providing MROP products and services through innovative pumping solutions, metal working, supply chain services, and service centers. This role is crucial for supporting the company’s federal, state, and international income tax compliance and reporting functions, contributing to accurate financial operations.

• Mission: Support the company’s income tax compliance and reporting obligations by assisting with tax returns, provisions, and related activities.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP); experience with tax preparation software, ERP systems, or tax provision software is a plus.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Tax Compliance: Assist in preparing and filing federal, state, and international corporate income tax returns, including related forms and supporting schedules.
• Tax Accounting & Reporting: Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740 and reconcile current and deferred income tax accounts.
• Tax Research & Documentation: Conduct research on federal, state, and international tax issues to support compliance and reporting requirements and maintain supporting documentation.
• Audit Support: Provide assistance during tax audits by gathering documentation, preparing responses to information requests, and supporting communications with taxing authorities.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various internal departments to obtain necessary information for tax compliance and reporting, and review transactions for tax implications.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required, coupled with a basic understanding of federal and state income tax concepts and accounting principles.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in tax, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, demonstrating strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Skills: Exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, along with strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication.
• Bonus: A Master’s degree in taxation or accounting, progress toward CPA certification, or prior experience with tax preparation software, ERP systems, or tax provision software is preferred.
