Implementation Project Consultant | C.H. Robinson

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at C.H. Robinson, located in Chicago, IL or Monterrey, MX. C.H. Robinson is a global logistics company focused on delivering supply chain solutions to a diverse worldwide marketplace. This role is critical for managing the technical integration and system setup for implementation projects, ensuring seamless onboarding and support for new and existing customers. The consultant plays a key part in translating customer needs into technical specifications and driving projects from conception to Go Live.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person, Chicago, IL or Monterrey, MX
• Pay: $81000–$128000 yearly
• Team: Robinson Managed Solutions (RMS) Implementation team
• Mission: Manage the technical integration and system setup for Implementation projects from conception to Go Live & support, primarily for new business onboarding.
• Tech Stack: TMS software, Microsoft Office Suite of programs

What You’ll Actually Do
• Technical Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison between customer project teams, including their Technology function, and internal Development resources.
• Requirements Translation: Translate customer requirements into internal system and operational specifications, identifying system gaps and recommending enhancements.
• Project Facilitation: Facilitate project meetings and execute the Process Transformation Methodology, including current state capture, future state design, and integration mapping.
• Training and Documentation: Develop and execute testing plans, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials, then conduct training on internal systems and external portals.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with the Project Manager to manage meeting documentation and ensure the timely execution of project deliverables.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent C.H. Robinson experience, coupled with a minimum of 2 years of technical project management experience.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in technical project management, prior experience working with customers, vendors, or carriers, and previous experience with TMS software. Requires flexible hours and up to 20% domestic and/or international travel.
• Skills: Basic facilitation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Bonus: Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver presentations for internal and external audiences, effective collaboration with subject matter experts, and an understanding of key business drivers.
