What We Look For In an IB Business & Management Tutor

  • Ability to guide students through analyzing real and fictional business scenarios, calculating profitability and liquidity ratios, evaluating marketing strategies, and constructing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Emphasis on connecting business theory to contemporary global business issues and developing analytical communication skills.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with the IB Business Management syllabus for both SL and HL.
  • Awareness of common student challenges, such as applying theories to case study questions, performing financial ratio analysis, and structuring extended response answers.
  • Ability to adapt instruction using past IB examination papers, case study practice, and mark scheme analysis to effectively support students preparing for internal assessments and final examinations.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Capacity to explain material using multiple approaches and adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
