What We Look For In an IB Business & Management Tutor

• Advanced Subject Mastery:
  • Deep knowledge of the IB Business Management curriculum, covering business organization, human resource management, finance and accounts, marketing, and operations management at both Standard (SL) and Higher Levels (HL).
  • Ability to effectively explain stakeholder analysis, ratio analysis, marketing mix applications, and operations strategies.
  • Proficiency in preparing students for IB internal assessments (IAs), extended essays, and final examinations.

  • Ability to guide students through analyzing real and fictional business scenarios, calculating profitability and liquidity ratios, evaluating marketing strategies, and constructing evidence-based recommendations.
  • Emphasis on connecting business theory to contemporary global business issues and developing analytical communication skills.
• Curriculum Awareness & Adaptive Instruction:
  • Familiarity with the IB Business Management syllabus for both SL and HL.
  • Understanding of common student challenges, such as applying theories to case study questions, performing financial ratio analysis, and structuring extended response answers.
  • Adept at adapting instruction using past IB examination papers, case study practice, and mark scheme analysis to support IB students preparing for internal assessments and final examinations.
• Effective Teaching Methods:
  • Ability to identify concepts students commonly struggle with.
  • Proficiency in explaining material using multiple approaches and adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs and styles.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
