Human Resources Generalist / Office Manager | CDI Curb Adapters
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CDI Curb Adapters, contributing to the daily operations and cultural heartbeat across its manufacturing facilities located in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Dallas, Seattle, Charlotte, and Phoenix. CDI is the nation’s fastest curb manufacturer in the HVAC industry, leading with rapid lead times and high production volumes. This role is pivotal in driving the company’s core values by managing the full employee lifecycle for plant staff, ensuring a supportive and engaging work environment. The individual will be key to fostering a positive culture, streamlining HR processes, and overseeing general office administration to keep operations running smoothly.

• Location: In-person, at one of CDI’s manufacturing facilities (Minneapolis, Dallas, Seattle, Charlotte, or Phoenix)
• Pay: $75000–$80000 yearly
• Mission: Owns the full employee lifecycle for plant staff, fostering a positive work culture and ensuring efficient daily operations while upholding CDI’s core values.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Employee Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, advising managers and supervisors on employment issues to establish positive relationships and promote high morale and motivation.
• Benefits & Compliance: Administer all employee benefits, including enrollments, terminations, claim resolution, and invoicing, while ensuring expert compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefit laws.
• HRIS & Performance Management: Utilize and maintain HRIS modules to keep records current, assist plant leaders with information, and administer annual review/accountability processes.
• Culture & Engagement: Facilitate employee engagement by overseeing the planning of seasonal events, managing “FUN! committees” across all CDI facilities, and conducting employee satisfaction surveys.
• Office Management & Recruitment: Oversee general office administration, including cleanliness, stocking supplies, and assisting with customer service calls, and own the full recruitment and lifecycle process for plant positions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience in an HR or people operations capacity.
• Experience: Proven experience in HR roles with a strong focus on compensation, benefits administration, compliance tracking, and worker’s compensation.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to handling confidential information with integrity, alongside a “people first” belief aligned with Servant Leadership.
• Bonus: In-depth knowledge of compensation practices, benefits administration, employment laws, and worker’s compensation regulations. Proficiency in HRIS software like Paylocity, Google Docs, Sheets, and Gmail, with relevant certifications being a plus.
