Human Resources Intern | Compassus

The Tone:
This is a fall semester, in-person internship at Compassus, located in Brentwood, TN. Compassus is an organization dedicated to providing hospice, palliative, and home health care services, focusing on the quality of life for patients and their families. This Human Resources Intern role is crucial for advancing internal HR operations and projects, directly supporting the colleagues who deliver compassionate care and ensuring a supportive work environment.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Leadership: Own strategic, student-driven projects that span various HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Learning and Development.
• Departmental Support: Assist in creating and maintaining essential departmental materials and help manage a diverse portfolio of department-specific projects.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate identified needs and potential solutions to VPs and Directors within the HR team.
• Program Evaluation: Evaluate and document program initiatives to support the Director in making informed decisions about resource allocation.
• Cultural Contribution: Model company values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation, while promoting effective communication and follow-up across the department.

• Background: Student seeking practical experience in Human Resources.
• Experience: Proven history of successfully contributing as a team member on project deliverables and consistently meeting assignment deadlines.
• Skills: Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication abilities, including proficiency in writing professional business correspondence and presenting information effectively; skilled in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Bonus: Possesses curiosity and self-motivation to seek new information and develop novel solutions for project development, along with professionalism and sound judgment.
