HR – Total Rewards – Corporate | Albany International Corp.
The Tone:
This is an internship at Albany International Corp., located in Portsmouth, NH, working in-office. Albany International is a global advanced textiles and materials processing company, featuring two core businesses: Machine Clothing, a leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts for process industries, and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC), a rapidly growing supplier of highly engineered composite aerospace parts. This role is crucial for enhancing the employee experience by supporting a comprehensive Total Rewards structure that improves benefits, ensures equitable compensation, and fosters career growth.

• Mission: To support the evaluation, development, and implementation of Total Rewards – Compensation and Benefits programs, with a dedicated project to enhance current initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Project Management: Lead a dedicated project to enhance Albany International’s Total Rewards Initiatives.
• Training Support: Assist in the design and creation of training materials and presentations for employee benefits programs.
• Plan Monitoring: Develop processes to monitor the cost of employee benefit programs and ensure ongoing compliance with procurement policies.
• Financial Tracking: Create a purchase order and invoice tracking process specifically for the Total Rewards department.
• Data & Feedback Analysis: Help maintain records and reports of total rewards activities, and gather employee feedback to improve future training programs.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field, having completed at least two years of coursework with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Due to the restricted nature of work, only US Citizens and US Persons (permanent residents) will be considered.
• Experience: Strong interest in HR subjects related to Total Rewards, including Compensation and Benefits.
• Skills: Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications, strong attention to detail and organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and a basic understanding of human resources principles and practices.
• Bonus: Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) is a plus.
