HR Ops Intern | GE Vernova
The Tone:
This is a part-time internship at GE Vernova, located in In-person China(Shanghai). GE Vernova is a global energy company focused on electrifying the world while simultaneously driving its decarbonization through innovative power, renewable energy, and digital solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of essential HR processes and supporting a positive and efficient employee experience within the organization. The intern will play a key part in the foundational HR activities that underpin the company’s robust workforce management and strategic initiatives.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Meticulously manage all HR documentation throughout its lifecycle, encompassing the accurate preparation of new materials, systematic collection of necessary forms, precise digital scanning for record-keeping, organized filing, efficient retrieval of records when required, and thorough checking for accuracy and compliance with internal guidelines.
• HR Operations Support: Provide comprehensive support for critical HR operational tasks across the entire employee lifecycle. This includes facilitating seamless onboarding processes for new hires, conducting engaging First Day Introductions, preparing essential on-demand letters for current employees, and assisting with the procedural aspects of offboarding.
• Project Involvement: Actively participate and contribute to a diverse range of HR projects, offering essential support, collecting data, and providing insights to various initiatives designed to enhance human resources functions and services across the company.
• Benefits Communication: Support internal employee communications related to company benefits. This responsibility involves drafting clear, concise, and professional messages, and efficiently sending emails from a shared mailbox to ensure all employees are well-informed about their benefit programs.
• Gift Distribution Coordination: Take responsibility for coordinating the logistical aspects of employee gift distribution, encompassing the accurate tracking of items, managing the shipment process, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of gifts to recipients as part of recognition or engagement initiatives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level opportunity, ideal for individuals beginning their career path in human resources, administrative support, or corporate operations, looking to gain practical experience in a global company environment.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate the capacity to commit to working at least 2 to 3 days per week, and be available for a continuous minimum duration of 6 to 8 months to fulfill the requirements of this daily intern position.
• Skills: Possess a strong detail-oriented approach and a willingness to diligently perform routine administrative and operational work with accuracy. Demonstrate the ability to operate effectively and efficiently under time pressure, undertaking and managing a substantial workload. Exhibit good command of both verbal and written English, essential for clear communication, alongside strong general PC skills for navigating various office applications and systems.
