HR- Learning and Development Intern | Albany International Corp.

The Tone:
This is an internship at Albany International Corp., a global advanced textiles and materials processing company. The company operates two core businesses: Machine Clothing, a leading producer of custom-designed fabrics and belts, and Albany Engineered Composites (AEC), a growing supplier of highly engineered composite parts for the aerospace industry. The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: In-person

• Team: Reports to the Director of Talent Management, interacting with colleagues across various business units and functions.
• Mission: Support the evaluation, development, and implementation of employee learning and development programs and enhance leadership development curriculum.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Learning Management Systems (LMS)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Curriculum Enhancement: Lead a project focused on enhancing Albany International’s leadership development curriculum.
• Program Development: Support the design and creation of training materials and presentations for internal training programs.
• Data Management: Help maintain records of training activities, participant attendance, and feedback for reporting purposes.
• Resource Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the Learning Management System (LMS) to ensure content is current and accessible.
• Industry Research: Stay updated with learning and development industry trends, tools, and best practices to suggest new approaches.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, or a related field, with at least two years of coursework completed.
• Experience: A minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Skills: Effective written and oral communication, strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: A strong interest in learning and development, training, and employee engagement, a positive and proactive attitude, basic understanding of HR principles, and familiarity with learning management systems (LMS).
