Job Description: HR Intern
This is a paid, 10-12 week summer internship (June start date) for undergraduate and graduate students. The internship is hybrid, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. The intern will be assigned to the HR department and will work on a specific project with clear guidance. The role culminates in a presentation to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
• Understand the Employee Life Cycle: Learn the various stages of an employee’s journey at Progyny (pre and post-hire).
• Identify Improvement Areas: Analyze existing HR processes and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop Practical Skills: Gain hands-on experience in HR analytics, project management, and employee experience.
• Gap Analysis: Compare Progyny’s employee life cycle with industry best practices and identify any gaps.
• Develop Actionable Recommendations: Create concrete recommendations to improve the employee life cycle based on the gap analysis. This will involve using data from Workday, historical engagement surveys, and potentially conducting stay interviews.
• Stakeholder Review: Present the Talent Life Cycle Map and improvement strategies to stakeholders for feedback.
Qualifications:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), particularly with large datasets and pivot tables.
• Organized and detail-oriented work style.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to executives.
• Adaptable, inquisitive, and a strong problem-solver.
• Ability to work independently with provided guidance, and to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Results-oriented with the ability to build rapport and trust.
Important Note: Progyny cannot provide visa sponsorship for this position. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The annual salary range for NYC-based applicants is $25.00/hour – $50.00/hour.
