Executive Housekeeper | Driftwood Hospitality Management

• Team: Oversees the hotel’s housekeeping department, leading, training, and supervising the team while reporting to the General Manager.
• Mission: Ensure a clean and safe environment for all guests, contribute to overall guest satisfaction, and maintain operational efficiency within the housekeeping department.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Team Leadership & Development: Interview, select, train, schedule, coach, and provide ongoing support to housekeeping associates, ensuring consistent performance in accordance with established brand and hotel standards, and aligned with DHM core values.
• Operational Oversight & Quality Assurance: Observe and monitor staff performance to ensure efficient operations and adherence to all policies and procedures. Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and grounds meticulously to confirm cleanliness, appearance, and safety standards are consistently met.
• Guest Relations & Satisfaction: Act as a primary point of contact for guest inquiries pertaining to hotel policies and services. Promptly and effectively resolve guest complaints and concerns, actively using guest service scores to drive continuous improvement and achieve higher guest satisfaction.
• Resource Management: Prepare and adjust departmental schedules based upon occupancy forecasts, assigning duties efficiently to associates. Conduct regular inventory assessments and submit periodic orders to ensure the timely purchase and availability of all necessary supplies for the department.
• Compliance & Financial Stewardship: Prepare all required paperwork pertaining to departmental functions. Maintain departmental expenses strictly in line with the budget as described by the General Manager. Ensure full compliance with specific brand standards, DHM internal audit standards related to key control and risk management (e.g., lost and found, key control, guest room safety), sustainability guidelines, and safe work habits, adhering to MSDS and OSHA standards.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager level, requiring a High School diploma or equivalent and prior Hotel Housekeeping Manager experience.
• Experience: Must have proven experience as a Hotel Housekeeping Manager, demonstrating the ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
• Skills: Effective communication and interpersonal skills; ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns from co-workers and guests; capability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure and distractions; strong commitment to providing unparalleled customer service; patience when interacting with associates and customers.
