This role is crucial for transforming how people learn by providing customized instruction that helps students achieve academic success and understanding, specifically in preparing for the HESI Admission Assessment examination to secure competitive nursing program admissions.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Provide: Provide personalized, one-on-one instruction to individual students, significantly impacting their academic success and understanding.
• Explain: Explain HESI Admission Assessment examination content comprehensively across mathematics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and physics.
• Teach: Teach strategic test-taking methods and problem-solving techniques for HESI, including anatomy and physiology review, dosage calculation practice, and reading comprehension strategies.
• Adapt: Adapt instruction using HESI practice examinations, science content review guides, and diagnostic assessments to support nursing school applicants seeking competitive admission scores.
• Advise: Advise students on nursing program admission score requirements, content area weighting, and the connection between HESI scores and nursing school success.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of HESI Admission Assessment examination content and the ability to connect HESI scores to nursing school success.
• Experience: Familiarity with HESI A2 examination content, common challenges, and effective teaching strategies for scientific concepts and mathematical conversions.
• Skills: Strong communication skills, an engaging teaching style, and the ability to identify concepts students struggle with while adapting instruction to diverse learning needs.
