What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Guide students through the HESI Admission Assessment examination content, covering mathematics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, biology, anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and physics.
• Strategize: Teach strategic test-taking and problem-solving techniques specifically for the HESI, including human body systems review, dosage calculation, scientific vocabulary building, grammar rule application, and reading passage analysis.
• Inform: Explain nursing program admission score requirements, content area weighting, and the connection between HESI scores and nursing school success.
• Adapt: Adapt instructional approaches using HESI practice examinations, science content review guides, and diagnostic assessments to meet individual student learning needs and styles.
• Connect: Provide personalized, one-on-one online tutoring or accept on-demand tutoring requests as available, utilizing the Live Learning Platform.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Advanced knowledge of HESI Admission Assessment examination content across all required subjects, along with an understanding of nursing program admission score requirements and common challenges.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to teach anatomy and physiology review, mathematical problem-solving, and reading comprehension strategies effectively for the HESI.
• Skills:
– Deep HESI content mastery across all required examination subjects.
