The TL;DR

• Mission: Ensure compliance and accurate financial reimbursement for government-sponsored healthcare programs through detailed auditing and analysis.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, etc.)

What You’ll Actually Do
• Audit Execution: Conduct all phases of audits, including planning, research, risk assessment, fieldwork, and reporting findings, for Medicaid providers and other government programs.
• Financial Analysis: Review Medicaid provider cost reports, analyze healthcare provider financial information, and perform reimbursement calculations.
• Regulatory Research: Conduct in-depth research to determine billing and reimbursement compliance with relevant Federal and State Medicaid or other government program regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare working papers to document audit scope and findings in accordance with Medicaid or government program regulations and AICPA standards, and draft professional documents to support decisions.
• Data Management: Maintain thorough electronic documentation and ensure the security and confidentiality of all protected health information.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Preferred: Internship or equivalent working experience in accounting or a related field; experience with healthcare auditing and data analysis.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications; ability to interpret and apply statutory/regulatory policy language.
• Bonus: Master’s degree in accounting or a related field; CPA or CPA candidate; well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
