Healthcare Leadership Fellowship | Fresenius Medical Care

The Tone:
This is a 12-month rotational fellowship program at Fresenius Medical Care, located across multiple U.S. markets. Fresenius Medical Care is a healthcare organization operating in critical areas of healthcare operations. This role offers post-graduate individuals immersive, hands-on experience and executive mentorship, designed to cultivate future healthcare leaders. Fellows will gain broad organizational exposure and develop strategic skills to impact patient care delivery and operational excellence.

The TL;DR

• Mission: To provide immersive, hands-on experience and develop post-graduate individuals into future healthcare leaders within the organization.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Rotations: Complete 3–4 structured rotations across key business areas such as outpatient clinic operations, market development, clinical services, human resources, and finance.
• Projects: Lead and support enterprise initiatives focused on patient care delivery, operational excellence, workforce strategy, and financial performance.
• Executive Engagement: Interact regularly with senior leaders through formal presentations, leadership roundtables, and executive mentorship opportunities.
• Development: Participate in leadership development workshops, project management training, and ongoing performance coaching sessions.
• Career Path: Qualify for potential leadership roles within the organization upon successful completion of the program.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s degree (MHA, MBA with healthcare focus, MPH, or related field) completed within the past 6 months or by the program start date.
• Experience: Completion of a post-graduate degree designed for leadership development in healthcare administration.
• Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Possess an analytical mindset with the capacity to manage complex projects effectively. Show a willingness to travel or relocate as needed for rotational assignments.
• Bonus: Hold a strong academic background with demonstrated leadership potential. Possess previous internship, capstone, or work experience in healthcare.
