The Healthcare Accountant role is critical for managing intricate client billing processes within the healthcare environment, ensuring financial accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual agreements.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: End-to-end client billing processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with contractual agreements.
• Perform: Billing reconciliation and funding settlements, resolving discrepancies and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor: And support accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, and collections follow-up.
• Partner: With clients and internal teams to resolve billing issues and disputes in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain: Accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policies.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience in a healthcare environment.
• Experience: 3–5+ years in billing, accounts receivable, or financial operations, specifically within insurance or healthcare billing operations. Proven ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, resolve issues efficiently, and experience working in process development or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting practices, proficiency in accounting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Bonus: Experience performing healthcare TPA and client-level reconciliations, settlements, and financial reporting activities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; demonstrated problem-solving skills; familiarity with banking, treasury functions, or cash management.
