Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key contributor in this role, you will be instrumental in the successful implementation and management of HashiCorp enterprise solutions for our clients. Your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of technical and consultative tasks, aimed at facilitating our customers’ cloud transformation journeys and enhancing their developer velocity.

  • Collaborate extensively with the Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) on the strategic design and detailed execution plans for the implementation and integration of specified HashiCorp tools within the scope of each engagement.
  • Execute the technical customer solution plan meticulously designed by the assigned Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) for the customer account.
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of HashiCorp enterprise solutions, ensuring robustness and scalability.
  • Provide crucial assistance in the design and configuration of third-party integrations with HashiCorp enterprise solutions, expanding their capabilities.
  • Develop essential support documentation, automation scripts, runbooks, and similar collateral pertinent to HashiCorp enterprise solutions, ensuring operational clarity.
  • Aid in the application and execution of software patches and upgrades to HashiCorp enterprise solutions, primarily within non-production environments to ensure system integrity.
  • Consult proactively with various application, platform, and operations teams, guiding them on best practices for integrating their tools, applications, and services with HashiCorp tools.
  • Execute specific technical tasks throughout our customers’ cloud transformation journey, focusing on aspects related to the HashiCorp product suite.
  • Build robust automation solutions for the efficient deployment, management, and operation of one or more of our HashiCorp solutions.
  • Assist customers in strategically aligning their people, processes, and workflows with the modern Cloud Operating Model, optimizing their operations.
  • Articulate and redefine the cloud consumption model, specifically in relation to the HashiCorp “Tao of workflows,” to maximize efficiency.
  • Directly impact developer velocity while meticulously satisfying critical objectives related to governance, risk, and controls.
  • Be highly cognizant of, and effectively communicate, the inherent business value of the HashiCorp product suite to customers, highlighting its benefits.
  • Clearly articulate the technical functionality of HashiCorp products and any additional third-party integrations to practitioners, product owners, and managers.
  • Educate and advise customer users on how HashiCorp tools can effectively enable and simplify the adoption of the Cloud Operating Model as an integral part of their cloud transformation journey.
  • Educate individual contributors on industry best practices concerning system administration, service administration, automation, and observability.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a foundational understanding of modern IT operations and cloud technologies, coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven experience operating Linux and Windows systems, demonstrating proficiency in both environments.
  • Basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD pipelines, and version control solutions (e.g., Git).
  • Fundamental understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Exposure to and comprehension of at least one major public cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their most common services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in group environments, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
  • The capability to work independently, proactively executing on a provided roadmap with minimal supervision.
  • The ability to explain complex technical topics in clear, simple terms, making them accessible to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with common security and compliance requirements relevant to enterprise IT environments.
