Your Role and Responsibilities

As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in the design, implementation, and management of HashiCorp enterprise solutions, playing a direct role in our customers’ cloud transformation journeys. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaboration and Execution: Work closely with the Resident Solutions Architect (RSA) on the design and execution plans for implementing HashiCorp tools and their associated integrations within the scope of engagement. You will be responsible for executing the technical customer solution plan designed by the RSA assigned to the account.
  • Solution Design and Management: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of HashiCorp enterprise solutions.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Assist in the design and configuration of seamless integrations between HashiCorp enterprise solutions and various third-party systems.
  • Documentation and Automation: Create comprehensive support documentation, automation scripts, runbooks, and other collateral essential for HashiCorp enterprise solutions.
  • Software Maintenance: Provide support for the application and execution of software patches and upgrades to HashiCorp enterprise solutions, primarily in non-production environments.
  • Customer Consultation: Consult with diverse customer application, platform, and operations teams, guiding them on best practices for integrating their tools, applications, and services with HashiCorp tools.
  • Cloud Transformation: Execute specific tasks throughout the customer’s cloud transformation journey, specifically relating to the HashiCorp product suite.
  • Automation Development: Build robust automation for the deployment, management, and operational aspects of one or more HashiCorp solutions.
  • Impact Developer Velocity: Directly contribute to enhancing developer velocity while simultaneously ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and control objectives.
  • Business Value Communication: Be adept at recognizing and effectively communicating the business value of the HashiCorp product suite to customers.
  • Technical Articulation: Clearly articulate the technical functionality of HashiCorp products and additional third-party integrations to practitioners, product owners, and managers.
  • Education and Best Practices: Educate individual contributors on best practices in system administration, service administration, automation, and observability.
  • Background Checks: Be prepared to undergo additional background checks and screening as required by the customer.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

We are seeking candidates with a foundational understanding of modern IT infrastructure and development practices, coupled with a collaborative mindset:

  • Operating Systems: Proven experience operating both Linux and Windows systems.
  • Software Development Fundamentals: Basic understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), CI/CD methodologies, and version control solutions.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and practices.
  • Cloud Exposure: Exposure to and a general understanding of at least one public cloud service provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their most common services.
  • Team Collaboration: The ability to work effectively and collaboratively in group environments.
  • Independent Execution: The ability to work independently, taking ownership and executing tasks based on a provided roadmap.
  • Communication Skills: The ability to explain complex technical topics in clear, simple terms to various audiences.
  • Security and Compliance: Familiarity with common security and compliance requirements relevant to enterprise IT environments.
