Hardware Verification Engineer | Teradyne

The Tone:
This is an entry-level Hardware Verification Engineer position at Teradyne, located in Deer Park, IL. Teradyne stands as a global leader in test and automation, delivering sophisticated solutions that power next-generation technologies and ensure every electronic device functions correctly from the first use. This role is a vital part of the growing Hardware Development Team, focused on creating advanced high voltage/current instrumentation solutions for leading Power Semiconductor companies. As an early career engineer, you will receive comprehensive mentorship and training to build essential skills for verifying and integrating Teradyne’s newest products into production.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Automated Test Development: Contribute to developing automated test concepts and methodologies to verify the functionality and performance of new instrumentation products.
• Hardware Design Support: Support the design of electronic circuits and related test hardware necessary for product verification.
• Software Test Activities: Participate in coding, debugging, and verification tasks to release product verification and production software tests.
• Engineering Process Involvement: Join design reviews, failure analysis, and requirements specification meetings to learn and implement best practices.
• Production Transition & Documentation: Support the transfer of new products into production, including documentation of test procedures, statistical data analysis, and results.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, designed for recent graduates.
• Experience: Possess basic knowledge of analog circuit analysis, coupled with experience in object-oriented programming (C/C++).
• Skills: Demonstrate familiarity with schematic capture and PCB layout design, along with basic knowledge of statistical analysis, strong communication, and teamwork abilities.
