Growth & Distribution Intern | Rationale Labs

The Tone:
This is an internship at Rationale Labs, with a preference for San Francisco but remote work is also an option. The company is building synthetic users for AI products to help AI teams conduct live product review sessions. This role is critical for uncovering product issues like confusion, trust breakdowns, onboarding friction, and abandonment risk before launch. The intern will have a direct and significant impact on the company’s growth from its earliest stages.

The TL;DR
• Role: Internship
• Location: Remote (San Francisco preferred)

• Team: Reports directly to the founder
• Mission: Help the company get in front of AI startups and drive product demos and awareness.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Identify: Get the company in front of target AI startups.
• Experiment: Run various outreach and distribution experiments.
• Develop: Create and implement effective growth loops.
• Influence: Help shape the company’s core messaging and positioning.
• Drive: Initiate product demos and increase overall brand awareness.
• Iterate: Test scrappy distribution ideas on a daily basis.

The Must-Haves
• Background: An internet-native individual who deeply understands founder and startup culture. This role is not suited for corporate backgrounds or those awaiting instructions.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to make content spread, successfully cold-DM individuals, and effectively get attention online. Familiarity with distribution strategies on AI Twitter/X and LinkedIn is essential.
• Skills: Capability to write sharp messaging, move fast, constantly experiment, and figure things out independently.
• Bonus: Prior experience growing an audience, making posts go viral, building niche communities, running scrappy outreach, hacking growth for a project, helping a startup get users, or extensively studying startup distribution.
