Graduate Intern – Strategy D&A | Oldcastle Infrastructure

The Tone:
This is an early-career internship at Oldcastle Infrastructure, located in Atlanta, GA. Oldcastle Infrastructure is a leading provider of innovative outdoor living products and utility infrastructure solutions across North America, manufacturing precast concrete, polymer concrete, and plastic infrastructure products. This role is crucial in supporting the strategy team by providing data and research, helping senior management understand markets, spot trends, and identify new value pools to inform key business decisions.

• Team: Strategy team within CRH Americas Building Products (ABP)
• Mission: Provide data and research support to guide strategic decisions and identify new growth opportunities for the business.
• Tech Stack: Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, AI and analytics tools, LLMs

What You’ll Actually Do
• Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze data from various internal and external sources to support the strategy team.
• Market Research: Research markets, industry trends, and macro data to help senior management identify new value pools and growth opportunities.
• Content Creation: Build clear charts, simple models, and presentation materials that translate data into easy-to-understand insights.
• Project Support: Support ongoing strategic projects and reviews with timely, accurate analysis.
• Tool Application: Utilize AI and analytics tools to enhance data efficiency and utility where beneficial.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience: Strong analytical skills and a genuine interest in data and business strategy.
• Skills: Solid Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Bonus: Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau; interest in or exposure to AI tools (e.g., using LLMs for research and analysis); curious, organized, and comfortable learning in a fast-paced environment; good written and verbal communication skills.
