What You’ll Actually Do
• Build: Build new TikTok Short Video features that directly impact hundreds of millions of people around the world.
• Solve: Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems that push the boundaries of mobile technology.
• Participate: Actively participate in technical discussions related to the team’s product and engineering work, contributing to innovative solutions.
• Maintain: Maintain product stability and security for the TikTok platform to ensure a consistent user experience.
• Drive: Drive architectural evolution and assist in user acquisition and operations across various business initiatives.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early career professional with a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors/experience.
• Experience: Demonstrated experience in native Android or iOS development. Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases effectively.
• Skills: Proficiency in Java or Kotlin for Android development, or Objective-C or Swift for iOS development. Excellent team communication and collaboration skills.
• Bonus: Solid coding skills with C++/Java/Kotlin/Swift/Objective-C or strong capabilities in learning new programming languages rapidly. Familiarity with multi-threading concurrency, common data structures, and common software design patterns. Experience building Android and/or iOS applications or SDKs and their associated development environments, including gradle, xcodebuild, Maven, and Cocopods.
