Key Responsibilities

• Build new TikTok Short Video features that directly impact hundreds of millions of people around the world.
• Solve unique, large-scale, highly complex technical problems that push the boundaries of mobile technology.
• Actively participate in technical discussions related to the team’s product and engineering work, contributing to innovative solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Possession of a BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors/experience.
• Demonstrated experience in native Android or iOS development.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Java or Kotlin on Android, or Objective-C or Swift on iOS.
• Ability to understand and debug large and complex code bases effectively.
• Excellent team communication and collaboration skills, fostering a productive work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Solid coding skills with C++/Java/Kotlin/Swift/Objective-C or strong capabilities in learning new programming languages rapidly.
• Familiarity with multi-threading concurrency, common data structures, and common software design patterns.
• Experience building Android and/or iOS applications or SDKs and their associated development environments, including gradle, xcodebuild, and dependency management tools such as Maven and Cocopods.

Compensation & Benefits

【For Pay Transparency】The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $122,574 – $187,200 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay constitutes one part of the comprehensive Total Package provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may also be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
