Job Description
The Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (ISRD) is seeking a student to join for Fall 2025 as a Graduate Research Assistant.
The student will assist Research Engineers focused on the application of machine learning for radar applications.
Tasks may include:
• Algorithm implementation in TensorFlow/PyTorch
• Data analysis and labelling
• Python code repository development/maintenance
Required Minimum Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD at Georgia Tech in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Computational Science/Engineering or similar major
• Must be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours)
• Must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
• Commit to 15-20 hours of work per week
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience programming in Python, TensorFlow, and/or PyTorch
• Experience with signal processing and/or machine learning algorithm development
Hours per Week:
• 15–20 hours per week
U.S. Citizenship Requirements:
• Due to research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
Clearance Type Required:
• Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
