• Team: Reports to Unit Coordinator, Clinical Manager, and Registered Nurse; directly supervises Nursing Assistants.
• Mission: Provide essential, high-quality nursing care, including medication and treatment administration, in a timely and professional manner.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Care Delivery: Provide direct patient care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being while upholding privacy, rights, and individual patient values.
• Medication Management: Administer medications, including PO, IM, and IV PB, safely and promptly, accurately documenting all administrations, and safeguarding narcotics.
• Documentation & Assessment: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care provided, and assist with both admission and discharge assessments for patients.
• Collaboration & Reporting: Report observations and all pertinent patient information promptly to the Registered Nurse, fostering close and harmonious teamwork within the unit.
• Unit Operations & Development: Contribute to unit cleanliness and organization, assist in orienting new employees, cross-train to other units as needed, and participate in quality improvement activities.

The Must-Haves
• Background: A recent graduate of an approved nursing program, prepared for early career nursing responsibilities in a direct patient care setting.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required for this early career role, but candidates should demonstrate proficiency in providing essential nursing care, safe medication administration, and the initiation and maintenance of IVs.
• Skills:
• Direct patient care and comfort provision.
• Safe and accurate administration of medications (PO, IM, IV PB), including narcotic safeguarding.
• Meticulous and timely documentation of patient care and observations.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills with supervisory staff and other disciplines.
• Strict adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and required annual competencies.
