• Team: Reports to Unit Coordinator, Clinical Manager, and Registered Nurse; supervises Nursing Assistants.
• Mission: Renders comprehensive nursing care to patients, including medication administration and treatments, ensuring patient well-being and adherence to care plans.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Care Delivery: Provide hands-on, compassionate direct patient care tailored to individual needs, ensuring patient well-being and strictly adhering to the care plan established by the Registered Nurse for an assigned group of patients.
• Medication and Treatment Management: Accurately and safely administer medications (oral, intramuscular, intravenous piggyback) and treatments, ensuring timely delivery, meticulous documentation, and full responsibility for safeguarding all medications and narcotics according to hospital policies.
• Clinical Support and Education: Initiate and assist with the ongoing maintenance of intravenous lines, assist with thorough admission and discharge assessments, and collaborate with other disciplines to provide comprehensive patient education.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all patient care activities, observations, and interventions, and report all pertinent patient information to the Registered Nurse, fostering close and harmonious collaboration.
• Operational Excellence and Compliance: Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe unit environment, administer nursing care in a safe and timely manner adhering to all hospital policies, procedures, and the organizational philosophy, and assist in the orientation process for new employees.

• Background: Early career professional, a newly qualified nurse prepared to render comprehensive nursing care under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Experience: Seeking to apply and develop clinical skills in a healthcare setting, with a foundational understanding of patient care, medication administration, and adherence to established care plans.
• Skills: Proficiency in direct patient care, accurate and safe medication administration (PO, IM, IV PB), intravenous line management, thorough documentation, patient assessment, upholding patient rights and privacy, and effective reporting and collaboration.
• Bonus: Demonstrated willingness to cross-train to other units, commitment to completing all required annual competencies, and excellence in customer service skills, fostering teamwork and contributing to quality improvement activities.
