What You’ll Actually Do
• Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute long-term sourcing strategies for key categories like avionics, composites, and machined parts to support business objectives.
• Supplier Management: Identify, select, onboard, and manage relationships with strategic suppliers, including monitoring performance and conducting regular business reviews.
• Contract Negotiation: Lead complex contract negotiations, specifically for Master Agreements and Statements of Work, to secure favorable terms.
• Value & Risk Management: Drive cost reduction and value optimization initiatives while mitigating supply chain risks and ensuring regulatory compliance (ITAR, AS9100).
• Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Legal, Finance, and Program Management teams, and support new product development and launch readiness.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field. This role requires proof of US citizenship, Permanent US residency, or classification as a protected individual under 8 USC 1324b (a) (3) due to export controls.
• Experience: 20+ years’ experience in global strategic sourcing, preferably within Aerospace & Defense, with proven expertise in supplier selection, risk management, contract negotiation, and financial analysis.
• Skills: Strong relationship management and cross-functional collaboration skills, demonstrated success in driving change and building stakeholder credibility, and advanced proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office (Excel), and MS Projects.
• Bonus: Professional certifications such as ISM C.P.M, CPSM®, or APICS CSCP/CPIM are preferred; familiarity with Microsoft Dynamix is considered an asset.
