Bilingual Bookkeeper/Staff Accountant (German/English) | RÖDL USA

What You’ll Actually Do
• Client Consultation: Provide consultation to clients and their parent companies on accounting, business administration, and taxation needs.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned clients.
• Tax Compliance: Prepare various sales and use tax returns, personal property tax returns, and other related forms.
• Payroll Management: Process client payroll accurately and efficiently.
• Engagement Ownership: Take ownership of client engagements, anticipating issues and developing plans to complete work within budget and deadlines.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Associate Degree in Accounting or German Steuerfachangestellte(r). This is an early career role.
• Experience: 1-2+ years in accounting, preferably public accounting, including preparing financial statements and communicating with clients. German language skills are required.
• Skills: Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software, basic knowledge of the US tax system, superior organizational skills, and strong interpersonal, oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Bonus: Strong knowledge of US-GAAP, knowledge of HGB, and experience with Peachtree and SAP accounting software.
