As a FedEx Intern, you will engage in projects designed to provide valuable, real-world experience in a professional environment, directly related to your field of study. This specific intern position focuses on Generative AI and AI-related topics and projects.

Minimum Education & Experience:

• Education:
  • Currently enrolled student or recent college graduate (within 6 months of graduation).
  • Obtaining a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Degree: Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or related quantitative discipline.
  • Major of Study Preference: Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred; Engineering with Analytics and Data experience acceptable.
• Experience: No experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical Skills:
  • Python
  • Data structure experience
  • JavaScript
  • PySpark
  • Knowledge of machine learning and AI algorithms
  • Understanding of large language models (LLMs)
  • Experience working with big data

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to work productively and proactively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills.
• Time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills necessary to work in a fast-paced environment, handling various tasks and changing priorities, while maintaining a high attention to detail and accuracy to achieve daily assignments and goals.
• Verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate across business units and to all levels of management.
• Ability to analyze, review, and make recommendations.

Program Details & Compensation:

• Pay:
  • Undergraduates: $25/hour
  • Graduates: $30/hour
• Relocation Stipend: A $2,000 stipend is available for those relocating over 50 miles for an on-site or hybrid internship or co-op experience.
• Availability: Ability to work 40 hours/week for a 10-week program.
• Program Dates: June 8th – August 14th.
