This is a contract-to-hire role with Aerotek, located in Fountain Valley, CA. This position plays a critical role in the production line by ensuring that parts are meticulously prepared through precise masking techniques, which is essential for achieving high-quality finishes and meeting strict client specifications. What You’ll Actually Do
• Masking: Apply masking materials such as tape, plugs, caps, and paper precisely to parts according to provided drawings and work instructions.
• Demasking: Carefully remove masking materials after coating processes are complete, ensuring no damage occurs to the finished parts.
• Quality Inspection: Inspect parts both before and after masking to confirm accuracy and adherence to strict quality standards.
• Process Adherence: Strictly follow specifications, blueprints, and process sheets for all production tasks.
• Workstation Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant workstation at all times, adhering to all PPE and environmental procedures.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Candidates should have foundational experience in a production or manufacturing environment, demonstrating strong attention to detail and manual dexterity required for intricate tasks. A focus on quality assurance and process adherence is key for success in this role.
• Experience: Prior hands-on experience in production, masking, or similar manufacturing processes is essential. The ability to accurately interpret and follow technical documents such as blueprints and process sheets is also required.
• Skills: Proficiency in using basic hand tools, exceptional manual dexterity for precise application of materials, and a strong commitment to quality standards are critical. The role demands consistent meeting of daily production goals while adhering to safety and environmental protocols.
• Bonus: Experience loading metal or plastic parts onto conveyor lines, cleaning and prepping metal parts, sanding metal or plastic using sandpaper, assisting coaters with part preparation, masking areas that do not require finishing, assisting printing operators with part handling, removing paint from parts using razor blades or sanding, or packaging parts in bags, boxes, or pallets. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
