General Manager | Red White & Blue Thrift

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Red White & Blue Thrift, located in-person. Red White & Blue Thrift operates retail thrift stores focused on maximizing financial success and operational excellence. This General Manager role is crucial for ensuring the store’s profitability, efficiency in meeting production quotas, and delivering high standards in customer service. You will lead strategic initiatives and develop your management team to drive business results.

The TL;DR
• Role: Full Time
• Location: In-person
• Pay: $85000–$103000 yearly
• Mission: Own the store’s financial performance, operational efficiency, and customer experience by driving sales, meeting production quotas, and developing the management team.
• Tech Stack: MS Office, Teams, Outlook, HRIS, Applicant Tracking System, IT and Facilities support ticket systems

What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Management: Oversee the store’s Profit and Loss (P&L) statement, ensuring financial results meet budget targets and driving top-line sales and profitability.
• Operational Leadership: Ensure efficient store operations by meeting production quotas, prioritizing backroom processing, and maintaining high standards for the customer shopping experience.
• People Development: Develop and train the Production Manager and Retail Manager, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and managing a fair performance process.
• Workforce Optimization: Implement effective scheduling practices that align with business needs, ensuring appropriate coverage and optimizing labor costs.
• Talent & Support: Manage the full employee lifecycle from candidate review and onboarding to ongoing training, support (payroll, benefits, FMLA), and employee relations.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Manager career level. High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: High-level computer proficiency (MS Office, Teams, Outlook, HRIS). Demonstrated ability to work independently and carry out assignments to completion within given parameters.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, effective performance evaluation and talent pipeline development, efficient production process management, P&L ownership and financial oversight, strong organizational skills for a clean and efficient work environment.
• Bonus: Proficiency in both English and Spanish. Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or customer-facing experience.
