General Manager I | Signature Aviation
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Signature Aviation, located in Los Angeles, CA. This General Manager role is crucial for driving meaningful impact daily, serving as a culture champion, and embodying Signature’s core values. The position ensures every aspect of the private aviation terminal runs smoothly, from ramp operations to guest services and team performance.

• Pay: $166000–$207500 yearly
• Team: Manages subordinate leaders and team members at the location.
• Mission: Oversees all aspects of the private aviation terminal (PAT) focusing on operational excellence and creating exceptional guest experiences.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations Oversight: Oversee all business functions of the private aviation terminal, including service delivery, equipment and maintenance, facility condition, and staffing.
• Financial Management: Manage the P&L and financial aspects of the location, encompassing capital expenditures, forecasting, budgeting, audit performance, and expense management.
• Team Leadership: Lead a team conducting base operations safely and efficiently in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures.
• Talent Development: Identify, develop, and promote internal talent, ensuring comprehensive training and development for team members to improve performance and maximize potential.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all rules, regulations, and policies issued by the company and local, state, federal, and airport authorities.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or five (5) years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a managerial capacity.
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in managing a team is required. Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Skills:
• Leadership Skills: Ability to assign tasks wisely, provide feedback to improve performance, administer corrective action, and motivate others effectively.
• Hospitality Skills: Excellent guest service skills, ability to anticipate guest needs, prioritize requests, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and maintain professionalism.
• Financial Skills: Basic knowledge of operation budgets and P&L, with an understanding of how margin, revenue, and cost impact the business.
• Communication Skills: Ability to read and comprehend documents, clearly communicate in English in various formats, and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and ability to learn company-specific software.
• Bonus: Trained and approved to perform required operational certifications (e.g., towing, deicing) for base-specific operations is preferred, with the ability to become approved being required. Experience with conflict resolution in a hospitality environment is preferred.
