What You’ll Actually Do
• Instruct: Provide personalized, in-depth 1-on-1 online instruction on GED Mathematical Reasoning content.
• Teach: Explain complex mathematical concepts including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and data analysis using the TI-30XS calculator.
• Strategize: Guide students through test-taking strategies, word problem translation, graph interpretation, and systematic problem-solving approaches.
• Adapt: Adjust instructional methods using diagnostic pretests, scaffolded skill progressions, and official GED practice materials.
• Engage: Identify concepts students commonly struggle with and explain material using multiple approaches while maintaining an engaging teaching style.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Deep knowledge of GED Mathematical Reasoning content, including basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry, data analysis, and quantitative problem-solving.
• Experience: Skilled at teaching calculator usage strategies, word problem translation into mathematical expressions, and graph interpretation for the GED Math test. Familiarity with GED Mathematical Reasoning content standards and common challenges.
• Skills: Advanced test mastery of GED Mathematical Reasoning content, ability to teach strategic test-taking and problem-solving, curriculum awareness and adaptive instruction, effective teaching methods, strong communication skills, and adaptability to individual learning needs.
