Funeral Director & Embalmer | Legacy Funeral Group
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Legacy Funeral Group, located in Florida. Legacy Funeral Group compassionately facilitates funeral arrangement discussions and implements choices made by families regarding funeral services, final disposition, and memorialization. This role is crucial in providing exemplary, personalized, and professional service to assist families following the loss of a loved one.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Support Families: Provides immediate support by handling first calls, answering questions, providing initial details, and coordinating transfers for the deceased.
• Prepare Deceased: Respectfully supervises and cares for the deceased, performing tasks such as identification verification, embalming, dressing, cosmetic application, and cremation preparation.
• Conduct Services: Arranges and conducts funeral and memorial ceremonies in a professional, organized, and caring manner consistent with company policies.
• Manage Logistics: Negotiates and enters into funeral contracts, handles legal documents, and collects payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensure Compliance: Guarantees strict adherence to all applicable professional, municipal, state, and federal mortuary, health, and vital statistics regulations and rules.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Must have graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science, holding current Funeral Director and Embalmer licenses within the practicing state, or be able to reciprocate.
• Experience: Not specified. Requires a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Skills: High level of compassion and integrity, professional written and verbal communication skills, problem-solving abilities, capacity to multitask and set priorities, detail-oriented, public speaking skills, proficiency in using databases in automated processes, and proficient MS Office skills.
• Bonus: Basic knowledge of religious and fraternal organizations and customs, ability to build professional and trusting business relationships, a positive attitude, and a drive to continually advance understanding of the industry and business.
