Job Description
Unite for Rights is seeking a Fundraising Intern to support the Program Director and CEO in building and managing relationships with donors, researching funding opportunities, and creating compelling fundraising materials. This internship provides real-world experience in nonprofit fundraising and development strategy, with opportunities to tailor the internship based on personal interests and goals.
Responsibilities:
• Research potential donors, grants, and philanthropic partners that align with Unite’s mission.
• Support donor outreach efforts, including drafting emails and donor communications for a diverse range of people.
• Assist in tracking fundraising progress and maintaining the donor and grants database.
• Help prepare fundraising materials such as proposals, applications, and reports.
• Monitor deadlines and support the coordination of application submissions.
• Pursue personalized projects or outreach ideas in alignment with Unite’s fundraising strategy.
Qualifications:
• Interest in human rights, social justice, or international development.
• Strong research, writing, and organizational skills.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
• Previous experience with fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit work is a plus but not required.

Unite for Rights is committed to the development and support of its interns. Recommendation letters may be provided. While the position is unpaid, bonuses may be awarded for outstanding results, and there is potential for advancement to a paid staff position.
