Early Career Intern – Fundamental Equities COO Office | Invesco

The Tone:
This is a part-time, 9-week summer internship at Invesco, located in Atlanta, GA. Invesco is one of the world’s leading independent global investment firms, dedicated to rethinking possibilities for clients through distinctive investment management capabilities. This role is within the Fundamental Equities Chief Operating Officer (COO) Office, a critical enabling team responsible for supporting the operations, technology, strategy, and people matters that keep the $310 billion AUM Fundamental Equities platform running smoothly and moving forward, acting as connective tissue across the firm. Successful interns may be eligible for a full-time offer to join the Early Career Program after graduation.

• Team: The IFE COO Office is the operating and enabling team behind Invesco Fundamental Equities, responsible for $310bn AUM, connecting investment teams, CIOs, and the rest of the firm.
• Mission: To support the operational and strategic functions that enable Invesco’s Fundamental Equities platform to run efficiently and advance its objectives.
• Tech Stack: Python, SQL, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal, R Studio, Excel

What You’ll Actually Do
• Operations and governance: Identify solutions to operational problems and support the follow-ups for solutions from meetings.
• Technology and AI: Identify, create, and test new opportunities using Copilot and agentic tooling.
• Strategy and planning support: Conduct research, benchmarking, and analysis to inform both the IFE strategy and the firm’s broader strategies.
• People and talent: Support various workstreams related to any and all people matters across the platform.
• MI and reporting: Assemble the platform scorecard, track initiatives, and compile management and board materials.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program, anticipating graduation by summer 2028, with a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. All majors are considered, with an emphasis on Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or Business-related fields, alongside a demonstrated interest in investments. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
• Experience: Experience with creative problem solving and analytical thinking, along with the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
• Skills: Intermediate proficiency with Python, SQL, Power BI, Bloomberg Terminal, R Studio, or Excel.
• Bonus: Experience gathering and interpreting market data, experience with applying AI tools across multiple domains, or a prior internship in investment management.
