Fund Accountant | U.S. Bank

The Tone:
This is a full-time, hybrid role at U.S. Bank, located in Tempe, AZ or Milwaukee, WI. • Mission: Maintain the general ledger and records for various funds, producing end-of-day net asset value calculations in compliance with regulations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Office applications

What You’ll Actually Do
• General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger and financial records for mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, local government investment pools, and closed-end funds.
• Net Asset Value Calculation: Produce accurate end-of-day net asset value (NAV) and mill rate determinations for assigned funds.
• Daily Operations: Prepare daily general ledger accounting entries, conduct prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, process advisor/portfolio management activities, and post expense accruals/payments.
• Portfolio Analysis: Apply corporate actions, perform portfolio pricing analysis and validations, and distribute timely internal/external information.
• Compliance & Collaboration: Partner with internal/external administrators, transfer agencies, and prime brokers/custodians on compliance, audit, and financial matters, ensuring adherence to SEC regulations and GAAP principles.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: One to two years of experience in accounting or finance activities.
• Skills: Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis, with an ability to identify and resolve exceptions and analyze data. Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages.
