The TL;DR

• Pay: $55000–$75000 yearly
• Team: Reports to a Fund Controller
• Mission: Own record keeping and financial reporting for private equity investment partnership clients.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Record Keeping: Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger for assigned partnerships.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts accurately.
• Partner Communications: Prepare capital calls and distribution notices for partners.
• Compliance & Reporting: Prepare financial statements and footnotes, applying current accounting principles and understanding limited partnership agreements.
• Allocation & Analysis: Allocate income and expenses to partners’ capital accounts and prepare various management reports.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Early-Career. College degree with a major in accounting.
• Experience: Up to 2 years fund accounting experience.
• Skills: Strong Excel and analytical skills; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; Proactive, resourceful, strong work ethic, team player.
• Bonus: Minimum GPA of 3.0; CPA or CPA candidate.
