Full Charge Bookkeeper | Staff Financial Group

The Tone:
This is a Full-time, in-person role at a well-established custom fabrication and manufacturing company. Our client is a $25 million custom fabrication and manufacturing company that builds custom products. This crucial hands-on position requires an experienced Bookkeeper to meticulously manage all day-to-day accounting operations. Your expertise will ensure accurate and current financial records, directly supporting business stability and growth by providing clean, timely financial information. The ideal candidate will also play a key part in identifying and implementing process improvements within the accounting function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Transactions: Handle all routine bookkeeping tasks, including processing accounts payable, managing accounts receivable, recording general ledger entries, performing bank reconciliations, and overseeing cash management.
• Support Manufacturing Accounting: Engage directly with manufacturing-specific financial activities such as tracking inventory levels, executing accurate job costing, and contributing to the month-end close process.
• Maintain Financial Integrity: Ensure all financial records are precise and up-to-date, providing a clear and reliable financial picture of the company’s operations.
• Enhance Operational Efficiency: Actively participate in reviewing and improving internal accounting processes to strengthen financial controls and streamline workflows.
• Deliver Financial Insights: Prepare and present clean, timely financial information to management, aiding in informed decision-making and strategic planning.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Mid-level Bookkeeper with an Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience. This person will have solid foundational accounting knowledge, especially within a manufacturing context.
• Experience: 3+ years of progressive bookkeeping or accounting experience, specifically with a preference for manufacturing industry exposure. Demonstrated working knowledge of inventory management, job costing methodologies, and work-in-process (WIP) accounting is essential.
• Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records, and effective communication skills to collaborate with operations and management.
• Bonus: Prior experience utilizing Epicor ERP software is a significant advantage.
