Full Charge Bookkeeper | CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen)

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at CLA, supporting an agriculture client. This client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records. This position plays a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, processing payroll and reporting, and preparing information for external accountants. The selected individual will work closely with senior accounting staff and ownership, with opportunities to gradually assume increased responsibility.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage Daily Transactions: Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, utilizing Sage 50 and QuickBooks.
• Oversee Receivables and Payables: Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
• Handle Payroll Operations: Process payroll from timecard collection through quarterly and annual reporting, including related reconciliations.
• Ensure Account Accuracy: Reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts regularly, researching discrepancies and investigating variances.
• Support Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management review and compile information for external CPA firm tax preparation and reviews.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Experience in a related field.
• Experience: Prior experience with accounts receivable and accounts payable is required; prior payroll processing and reporting experience is also required.
• Skills: Strong working knowledge of accounting software; solid Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis; high attention to detail with strong problem-solving and investigative skills.
• Bonus: Experience with Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks preferred; industry experience is flexible.
