Job Description: Fulfillment Associate

As a Fulfillment Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for Lowe’s customers by accurately and efficiently preparing and delivering their orders. This position requires a blend of operational expertise, customer service focus, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

  • Order Fulfillment & Organization: Accurately pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders on time. Maintain clean, organized, and safe staging areas to optimize workflow and prevent accidents.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide outstanding service by carefully selecting high-quality items, validating order accuracy, promptly answering customer questions, and effectively connecting customers with the appropriate associates for specialized assistance.
  • Powered Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain current certification for powered equipment, including Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck, strictly adhering to all safety protocols and requirements.
  • Inventory Management Support: Contribute to inventory accuracy by proficiently using the Orders App, ensuring compliance with SIMS (Store Inventory Management System) procedures, and collaborating with leadership to resolve any short picks or discrepancies.
  • Administrative & Maintenance Tasks: Complete various administrative duties, maintenance checks, and readiness tasks such as conducting audits, performing order follow-ups, and managing locker systems. Proactively report any safety concerns or potential theft issues to leadership.
  • Customer-First Mindset: Consistently approach daily responsibilities with a strong customer-first orientation, demonstrating excellent communication and teamwork skills to achieve departmental goals.
  • Other Duties: Be prepared to undertake additional duties as assigned to support the evolving needs of the business.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical Acumen: Minimum of 6 months of experience using a computer for tasks such as inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
  • Retail Technology Proficiency: Minimum of 6 months of experience utilizing common retail technology, including smartphones and tablets.
  • Powered Equipment Certification: Must possess or be able to obtain certification for Counterbalance Forklift, Order Picker, and Narrow Aisle Reach Truck. This certification is a mandatory requirement for the role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational Background: High school diploma or GED.
  • Retail Experience: 6 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Customer Service/Fulfillment Experience: 6 months of experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position, particularly within a home improvement or hardware retailer (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden departments).
  • Material Handling Experience: 6 months of experience in any industry involving the inspection, carrying, loading, and unloading of product or material in or out of vehicles.
