Front Desk Student Worker | Coastal Carolina University

Coastal Carolina University’s Student-Athlete Academic Services (SAAS) department provides essential support to student-athletes, ensuring their academic success. This Front Desk Student Worker role is crucial for maintaining a welcoming, professional, and organized environment within the SAAS suite. The position directly supports student-athletes, staff, and visitors by facilitating daily operations and administrative functions, contributing to a productive academic atmosphere.

• Pay: $8–$10 hourly
• Team: Student-Athlete Academic Services department, reporting to a supervisor
• Mission: Ensure the SAAS suite functions smoothly, is clean, and provides a professional, organized, and appropriate study environment for student-athletes.
What You’ll Actually Do
• Suite Management: Monitor and oversee the SAAS suite, ensuring proper use of facilities and adherence to policies by student-athletes and visitors.
• Administrative Support: Provide essential administrative support by assisting with filing, copying, scanning, and maintaining accurate attendance records.
• Space Upkeep: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the suite by wiping down surfaces, stocking supplies, and reporting custodial needs.
• Professional Development: Participate in mandatory monthly staff meetings to engage in training, professional development, and communicate insights to the supervisor.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Current Coastal Carolina University student, at sophomore level or higher, maintaining a minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA.
• Experience: Demonstrated ability to maintain a consistent weekly schedule and work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, coupled with a dependable, punctual, and professional demeanor, and basic organizational and administrative skills.
• Bonus: Eligibility for Work Study and prior experience in managerial or customer service roles.
