What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead: Lead and contribute to planning and forecasting processes by proactively collaborating with the FP&A team and Business.
• Manage: Manage the preparation, review, and presentation of flash, monthly financial summaries, and business reviews for senior management.
• Direct: Direct the annual operating plan and multi-year strategic plan, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy.
• Provide: Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to Business and Americas Banking & Global Markets CFO for strategic decision-making and performance improvement.
• Oversee: Oversee the corporate planning and Outlook process by establishing business targets, market volume projections, and macroeconomic assumptions.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Master’s Degree, preferably in Finance or Accounting, with a professional background in Financial Planning & Analysis.
• Experience: 12-15 years working in Financial Planning & Analysis teams within a Bank, Bank captive, or a Big 4 accounting firm practice, with proficiency in transition methodologies and managing cross-functional teams.
• Skills: Proficient Excel (lookups, sum ifs, pivots, arrays) and PowerPoint skills; strong MI reporting skillset; core understanding of markets businesses, corporate finance concepts, and general accounting knowledge; excellent communication, results-driven, and a strong sense of accountability; strong decision-making skills with sound judgment, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Bonus: Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase & Anaplan; Chartered Accountant and relevant accounting qualifications; deep understanding of the banking landscape, regulatory requirements, and products like Loans, guarantees, Trade Finance, cash equities, or derivatives; strong background in accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
