Financial Planning Analyst | Venteon

The Tone:
This is a full-time role for a Financial Planning Analyst, located in the metro Detroit area, working for a leading manufacturing company. This position plays a critical role in managing financial performance, providing detailed analysis, and supporting strategic financial planning. The analyst will translate complex financial data into actionable insights, directly contributing to the company’s profitability and offering significant opportunities for career growth and advancement within the finance department.

• Team: Reports directly to the Global Manager of FP&A
• Mission: To provide timely and detailed analysis of key financial metrics and trends, translating data into actionable information to impact profitability.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Oracle HFM, Hyperion Planning

What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee the monthly financial performance management and reporting framework.
• Analyze: Work closely with corporate teams to provide timely and detailed analysis of key performance metrics, financial trends, and other business aspects impacting profitability.
• Present: Prepare and present consolidated financial reports and analyses, offering insight through variance analysis reporting.
• Coordinate: Support and coordinate the budget, long-range financial plan, and financial forecasts and reviews.
• Oversee: Own Global Headcount and Department Reporting processes, including People Cost reporting in collaboration with Human Resources.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field; strong analytical background and knowledge of financial statements with an attention to detail.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant Financial Planning & Analysis experience; prior finance experience in reporting and performing variance analyses; Tier one Auto supplier experience preferred.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; effective communication & interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with colleagues across departments and internationally.
• Bonus: MBA or other Master’s degree; relevant certification such as CFA or CPA; experience in Power BI, Oracle HFM, and Hyperion Planning.
