What You’ll Actually Do
• Vehicle Preparation: Ensure all Zipcar vehicles are clean, maintained, and in optimal condition for member use.
• Fleet Movement: Transport vehicles by foot, bike, public transit, or Zipcar to their necessary locations throughout the city.
• On-Site Maintenance: Perform essential tasks such as changing tires, refilling gas tanks, and conducting thorough vehicle cleanings.
• Repair Coordination: Facilitate and coordinate external services, including vehicle towing and necessary repairs.
• Member Readiness: Act as the front line for the team, providing timely updates on vehicle status, which directly impacts member satisfaction and vehicle availability.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. This role is for individuals ready to engage in hands-on vehicle operations to support a car-sharing service.
• Experience: Requires the flexibility to work a 40-hour week, including various shifts across days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Strong time management skills to manage multiple priorities and tasks effectively; excellent communication abilities to provide vehicle status updates to the operations team; willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions; possession of a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (per company standards); physical capability to carry tools and marketing materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
