Financial Analyst | International Paper

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze performance and recommend actions to maximize the financial return for the facility.
• Support the Controller in preparing and analyzing operational results, operating trends, customer profitability, and budgeting & forecasting.
• Collaborate with the Controller to develop and refine accounting processes and process documentation to improve efficiencies.
• Actively assist in maintaining and enhancing internal controls, accounting policy, and procedures.
• Prepare journal vouchers and participate in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, business, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years of accounting and/or finance experience.
• Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of general business management principles, internal financial management, and industry business practices, alongside effective communication skills and the ability to influence peers and management.
• Bonus: CPA or CMA certification. Prior work experience in a manufacturing facility, particularly with corrugated, printing, or packaging finance experience, is highly desirable.
