What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements for client shareholders and the SEC, including statements of assets and liabilities, operations, cash flows, and accompanying support packages.
• Compliance: Ensure all financial reporting adheres to SEC, GAAP, and other relevant regulatory reporting requirements.
• Audits: Coordinate effectively with external auditors and manage all aspects of the audit processes.
• Controls: Maintain and uphold robust internal controls specifically related to financial reporting.
• Monitoring: Monitor changes in accounting standards and evaluate their impact on reporting procedures and processes.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience, with a strong background in investment accounting and GAAP reporting.
• Experience: One to two years of related work experience. Preferred experience includes Fund Administration, investment company financial reporting, or public accounting.
• Skills: Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, Regulation S-X, and investment company financial reporting best practices; good organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines; good oral and written communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Bonus: CPA certified or candidate preferred; knowledge of financial reporting systems such as Unity Financials, Bloomberg, or Eagle STAR.
