Financial Reporting Analyst | HNI Corporation

What You’ll Actually Do
• Executive Reporting: Develop and transform consolidated financial results into polished executive-level presentations, PDF reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Financial Analysis: Analyze consolidated financial information from corporate and business unit teams to identify meaningful trends and performance drivers, supporting various executive presentations and decision-making.
• Public Company Support: Prepare financial materials used in shareholder meetings, investor communications, and other public-facing presentations, assisting with earnings releases and SEC-related reporting.
• Visual Communication: Translate complex financial analyses into clear, audience-appropriate narratives and design executive-quality visuals, such as charts, graphs, and tables, that improve understanding of financial performance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Internal Audit, and business unit finance teams to gather supporting information and align on reporting objectives.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Financial Analysis, or a related discipline is required.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial reporting, valuation, investment analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, investor relations, equity research, management consulting, or similar analytical roles; demonstrated experience working with large financial datasets and multiple information sources.
• Skills: Strong Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel experience is required; exceptional analytical thinking and financial reasoning; outstanding written communication and business writing skills; strong presentation design and visual communication abilities; ability to synthesize complex financial information into concise executive messaging.
• Bonus: Experience preparing executive presentations and communicating financial information to senior leadership; preferred experience supporting publicly traded companies or corporate reporting environments. Experience reviewing publicly available corporate financial documents (Form 10-K, 10-Q, earnings releases, investor presentations) is highly desirable.
